The P5000 is the project of Alice White, co-founder of Running Late. A vision to take the community spirit of our successful local run club and provide an exciting track 5K. Drawing inspiration from events such as Peckham Pacers 5K and the LDN 5000 we wanted to bring that same energy to Portsmouth. I created a visual identity that incorporated a custom wordmark and energetic colour scheme, combined with a technical feel that drew it's inspiration from dot matrix digital clocks. We also art directed photography, capturing the heat and energy of the track, the saturated red of the asphalt contrasting the acid green of the logo. I produced a range of physical goods, including flags, t-shirts, tape which elevated the event and brought the digital brand into the physical space. The P5000 website is also custom built with a super minimal one page html architecture and hosted on my own home server, using Cloudflare tunnels for security.
